Marj Kleinman is passionate about creating joyful imagery that can uplift, inspire, and heal. She has shot photography and video for non-profits including Smile Train, Games for Change, the Coalition for Healthy School Food, Fountain House, Artists for Alzheimer’s, Small Planet Institute, NY Open Center, NY Women’s Foundation, NY Women in Film and Television,and Child Life of Greater NY. She also photographs kids/families, events and portraits.
In addition to her professional work, Marj volunteers at Maimonides Infants & Children’s Hospital and the Hole in the Wall Gang camp for kids facing serious illness. She works with families to help them tell their stories of resilience through creativity and play.
Marj is an award winning children’s media producer with more than 20 years experience creating educational games, interactive content and television for companies such as PBS KIDS, Thirteen/WNET, Scholastic and Nickelodeon. Marj holds an M.A. in Educational Psychology from New York University and a B.S. in Theater Management from Emerson College. She has taught children theater and is currently teaching with the Art of Intuitive Photography.
